The Beauty of Bermuda

A friend invited me on a lavish vacation to Bermuda. We were both very excited to go and with the loss of her mom we thought it would be a good sister-friend vacation.

When we arrived at the Bermuda airport, security separated us.

I had some medicine that required additional testing to ensure I was not bringing illicit drugs on the island.

I was intrigued with the testing process and curious of what would have happened if I did have non-prescribed medicines. I would have been arrested and immediately deported from Bermuda.

My friend researched tons of information about Bermuda, what the protocols and etiquettes were and especially how to dress. There were tons of protocols for public areas and how to wear appropriate exercise outfits throughout the island and at beaches.

Visitors were not allowed to wear biking shorts.

I made the accident of booking a double occupancy and not a double bed, so we were taken to a bed and breakfast styled hotel with only one bed.

The hostess immediately contacted a friend and had us move to another property but took us to the grocery store to get items first.

I was not sure what to do, should we tip the person for their kindness but the hostess told us it was not necessary. She knew it was an honest mistake. The new place that we were taken to was great and very accessible to transportation.

We enjoyed the public transportation (in particular the well-known ferry that is rumored to make you vanish off the island) and we visited tons of fun places in Bermuda.

This was one of my first vacations and I struggled with what types of gifts to bring back.

I loved the beaches, shops and most of all the beauty that was in Bermuda.
