I loved performing at Bar Mitzvah's when I was in high school. I do not remember the pay rate, but I loved the intimacy of the performance.
Each Bar Mitzvah was unique and the dance floor had unlimited opportunities. I could dance for hours and I loved doing just that.
The dancers took turns dancing solo and with the guests.
I had so much fun and I was able to catch my breath in between dance moves. I truly enjoyed how sweet this was and how I felt special.
As I got older, I stopped performing but still love the craft of dancing.
I wanted to be the world's best salsa dancer and to compete in major competitions all over the world.
I wish my true abilities worked better than my imagination.
I could think of so many difficult dance transitions but my frail body was not able to perform at a high level.
I still can dwell on the days that I was in performing arts school and any fun routines I was able to perform or when I was a cheerleader after having a bad car accident where the jaws of life were used to take me out of the vehicle.
I remember my ortho specialist telling me I would never be able to dance again.
WOW...life is funny that way that I got to dance anyway.
